“Long before Johnny Depp was the biggest pirate on the planet, he got his start in film by playing one of Freddy’s first victims in A Nightmare on Elm Street. New Line is releasing a Special Edition DVD on September 26th and to help celebrate the movie, they are re-releasing it in theaters for a special two day event.

On September 20th and 21st, Freddy’s killing spree will once again be blown up on the big screen. For a whole generation (or two), this will be the first time that they will be able to see A Nightmare on Elm Street in theaters.

As part of the celebration, there will also be a special feature titled “Freddy’s Best Kills” which will only be shown at these special screenings. Check Fandango or your local theater for showtimes.”
