The New York City Horror Film Festival goes into 30 Days of Night!

On Oct 12th, the NYC Horror Film Festival in conjunction with The Village Voice and New Fears City present the East Coast Premiere of Columbia Pictures "30 Days of Night".

The NYCHFF and Sony Pictures present a special screening of Hostel with a never before seen alternate ending! Series creator, writer and director Eli Roth will attend and offer a Q&A on Thursday, October 25th at 7:00pm.

On October 27th, The New York City Horror Film Festival honors legendary filmmaker Herschell Gordon Lewis with Lifetime Achievement Award.
H.G Lewis, the undisputed Godfather of Gore, has been influencing filmmakers and fans alike for almost five decades…..

Long before George Romero or Tobe Hooper made ultra-violence in motion pictures fashionable, H.G. Lewis was breaking all taboos with films like Wizard of Gore, Blood Feast, and Two Thousand Maniacs. A true innovator, years ahead of his time, the NYCHFF is proud and honored to present a rare theatrical screening of his gore classic Two Thousand Maniacs. Mr. Herschell Gordon Lewis will be present to accept the award and offer a Q&A.

The organizers of the 2007 edition of the New York City Horror Film Festival have also revealed the schedule of events, which runs Wednesday,
October 24-Sunday, October 28 at
The Cantor Film Center
(36 East 8 Street New York City)

New features to be screened in competition are the world premieres of Uwe Boll’s SEED and
Sean Tretta’s DEATH OF A GHOST HUNTER,
Gregory Wilson’s THE GIRL NEXT DOOR,
Jesus de Sica’s ALONE,
Sean Linden’s NOBODY and
Kit Ryan’s BOTCHED, and there will be dozens of shorts shown as well.

Frank Zagarino’s BLOOD RAILS will also make its world premiere, and there will be a special screening of the director’s cut of HOSTEL (with Eli Roth in attendance for a Q&A) and TWO THOUSAND MANIACS! (whose director Herschell Gordon Lewis is receiving this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award).

In addition, the NYC Horror Fest is co-sponsoring the East Coast premiere of 30 DAYS OF NIGHT on October 12, and there will be the traditional filmmakers’ panel and an opening-night party at Don Hill’s Nightclub on the 24th.
