“Hollywood is coming to St. Louis for the holidays — and they’re looking for plenty of locals to be extras in several wild party scenes.

The film, “Ligeia,” is a contemporary re-telling of one of Edgar Allen Poe’s most famous short stories. It will be shooting in St. Louis, Friday through Dec. 19. Most extras will be needed early in the shooting schedule, Dec. 1-9.

The film is being produced by Jeff Most, a veteran of the horror genre, having produced the 1994 hit cult film, “The Crow,” with Brandon Lee. He also produced all four of “The Crow’s” sequels. Most was also a producer on two previous films shot in St. Louis, “Kingshighway,” earlier this year, and “Ghost Image” in 2006.
