Rob Zombie’s Terrifying Re-Imagination Of Horror Classic Arrives As A 2-Disc Unrated Special Edition DVD December 18, 2007 From The Weinstein Company and Genius Products

SANTA MONICA, CA – “Splat Pack” horror filmmaker, Rob Zombie’s (The Devil’s Rejects, House of 1,000 Corpses) re-imagination of the original slasher film Halloween makes it mark as a 2-disc Unrated Director’s Cut DVD December 18 from Genius Products and The Weinstein Company.

One of the most terrifying and iconic horror franchises, Halloween delves into the troubled childhood of anti-hero Michael Myers and uncovers the making of the pathologically disturbed masked killer. Former World Champion Wrester Tyler Mane (X-Men, Troy, The Scorpion King), a.k.a. Big Sky, gives a bone-chilling performance as a psychotic but silent killer who escapes from a mental institution, dons the haunting guise, wields a kitchen knife and wreaks havoc on his hometown.

Halloween also features suspenseful and thrilling performances from
Malcolm McDowell (“Entourage,” “Heroes”)
William Forsythe (The Devil’s Rejects, Freedomland)
Danny Trejo (Grindhouse’s Machete, Once Upon A Time In Mexico)

Since being introduced to audiences in 1978 by acclaimed genre director John Carpenter the Halloween franchise has become an institution and features one of the most iconic villains in film history.

Available in the original theatrical version (featuring both widescreen and full screen presentations) and an Unrated widescreen Director’s Cut with 11 extra minutes of footage too terrifying for theaters, the Halloween DVD includes a second disc with seventeen deleted scenes, bloopers, casting sessions and more (see details next page) and will be available for the suggested retail price of $29.95.
