Bianca Barnett’s Chilling Halloween

The Further Adventures of Chiller Spice or How Bianca Barnett Spent Her Halloween. By Brian Kirst

On Halloween some dress up, some drink themselves into festivity and others embrace their inner child, long past its supposed expiration point, by continuing to trick or treat (like awesome Chicagoan director/Movie Side Productions savant Rusty Nails). Not many, though, have the good fortune to watch themselves on television on that spooky night of nights. Terror goddess Bianca Barnett was one of those golden few this past holiday. Her horror short Bunny Time Cupcakes – soon to be released on DVD – won second place in Chiller TV’s Dare to Direct contest, so she and her husband (the creative piece’s director/writer Jason Barnett) gathered up all their spare grizzled corpses and bloodied body parts and settled down to watch it. (Actually, the two carved some artistically advanced jack-o-lanterns and ate Bianca’s delicious apple spice cake- but that just doesn’t sound nearly horrible enough, does it?)

This seemingly quaint evening was probably a needed break for the busy Barnett. In fact, just last Halloween, Bianca was actually finishing up her role as Pig Bitch in Albino Farm. While she found it “wicked fun” to be in full horror pig gear on the evening also referred to as ‘The Night He Came Home’, I’m sure she appreciated the chance to relax and enjoy her photogenic, expressive performance this year. Besides, she is already committed to two more horror pictures in the new year – so we will have plenty of her gothic holiness to look forward to in the future.

As always, Bianca is extremely thankful for the horror community’s support and urges everyone to keep up-to-date with her career at www.biancabarnett.com.
