There recently have been zombie sightings at Farragut High School … or “Farrington High School” as FHS theater students are calling it.

Rather than doing a play this year for its spring project, FHS advanced acting teacher Lea McMahan’s class is filming a horror movie.

“We decided on zombies because we wanted to make a horror film but I wanted to stay away from any kind of graphic violence. So we are kind of going back to the old school horror movie. We are shooting in black and white and it’s kind of a little bit cheesy in places,” McMahan said.

McMahan reached out to Pellissippi State Technical Community College for help with the project and has been rewarded with not only the use of some of the college’s equipment, but also with the help of video production student Matt Cikovic.
