Pierre in Peril. Reviewed by Brian Kirst
David J. White, a profilic writer-director-producer from Colorado Springs, offers up a beautifully nuanced and extremely bloody look at gender and sexuality with his 19 minute short Pierre in Peril.
One night after a quick glass of wine, the exhausted Pierre (White) finds himself being attacked and brutalized by a gorgeous naked woman (White, again). Soon identity crisis melds with chewy castration scenarios making Pierre in Peril a fascinating art piece-mystery and proving, by its finish, that White is one of the most sensuously provocative directors working today.
Indeed, Pierre in Peril offers up delicate food for thought while also delivering for hungry meat puppets everywhere with its copious bits of nakedness and clever, grue strewn antics.
It will truly be a pleasure for all to witness what emerges from White’s pinkly monstrous brain in the future.

I haven't seen Pierre in Peril but I've yet to be disappointed by David. Can't wait.
