To Commemorate the 200th Anniversary of Edgar Allan Poe
On Sunday, August 23rd, 2009 at 2pm join artist Gris Grimly and Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab at DARK DELICACIES for an in-store appearance and signing. Gris Grimly’s NEW book “Edgar Allan Poe’s Tales of Death and Dementia” contains four fully illustrated Poe favorites, “The Tell-Tale Heart,” “The System of Dr. Tarr and Professor Fether,” “The Oblong Box” and “The Facts in the Case of M. Valdemar”.
“Grimly’s deliciously malevolent illustrations are the perfect compliment to Poe’s macabre stories,” as described by The School Library Journal. This second installment is a companion to Grimly’s “Edgar Allan Poe’s Tales of Mystery and Madness,” with more than 100,000 copies of the US editions sold plus editions in 4 different languages. Grimly has done it again, with spine-chilling visuals, inviting the reader to open the book…if you dare.
