Independent Horror Film Festival Blood Bath 2 Announces Walking Distance as Official Selection and Celebrity Guests!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – SEPTEMBER 13, 2010 – DALLAS, TEXAS
DOA Blood Bath Entertainment is delighted to unveil the official selection to Blood Bath 2: The Film Festival of Upstart Filmworks: “WALKING DISTANCE”, the much-lauded horror film from director Mel House (“Closet Space”, “Imago”). Starring Denton Blane Everett (“Desdemona: A Love Story”),  Reggie Bannister (“Phantasm”, “Wishmaster”, “Bubba Ho-Tep”), Debbie Rochon (“The Good Sisters”, “Tromeo and Juliet”, Fangoria magazine), Katie Featherston (“Paranormal Activity”), and Melanie Donihoo (“Closet Space”, “Sweatshop”), the film also marks the return to horror from scream queen veteran Adrienne King (“Friday the 13th” and “Friday the 13th Part 2”). “WALKING DISTANCE” focuses on a small, self-sufficient town cut off from the rest of the area, where everything a citizen could need is within easy walking distance. While the town seems idyllic and peaceful on the surface, something very sinister is happening behind closed doors and the townspeople begin to realize that nothing is as it seems. The film premiered to a sold out audience and red carpet media blitz at the prestigious Dallas International Film Festival  earlier this year. It has garnered a large cult following of fans due to the talent involved and the buzz from those who caught the premiere screening.

Upstart Filmworks and DOA Bloodbath Entertainment are proud to announce that actors Debbie Rochon and Reggie Bannister will attend Blood Bath 2: The Film Festival as special guests.  The film will screen at 5 PM on November 13th, to be followed by a Q&A with director Mel House and actors Debbie Rochon, Reggie Bannister and Melanie Donihoo to follow.

Tickets will be on sale through the website https://www.doabloodbath.com beginning Friday, September 17, 2010.

DOA Bloodbath Entertainment’s second annual Blood Bath Film Festival will be held at the historic Texas Theater in Dallas, Texas on Saturday, November 13 and Sunday, November 14, 2010. The festival will feature a variety of both full-length and short horror films, as well as discussions, Q&A’s, and an awards ceremony. This will be the fourth film festival presented by DOA Bloodbath Entertainment in the Dallas metroplex area.
