Automation Transfusion 2: Contingency News

The sequel to Automation Transfusion is apparently being released to the public in 2012. Not only that, but the sequel is rumored to have a budget of $15,000,000. This almost certainly means it will be better than Automation Transfusion, at least production wise, since the first entry in the series was made on only $50,000. Something must have made it worth while to independent horror fans because it was picked up by Dimension Extreme and released on DVD in 2007. Most people really hate Automation Transfusion; however I am not one of them. I own it and it is pretty good. Others must agree with me as it won an award in Toronto and was on Fangoria’s Top 10 of 2007 list. Since Automation Transfusion ended with a cliffhanger, I’m guessing that Automation Transfusion 2: Contingency will pick up where the first movie left off.

Automation Transfusion is an independent horror film about zombies. The plot? In the 1970s America was working on a way to reanimate the dead to have them fight wars instead of using human citizens. The case closed when the zombies were unable to be controlled. 30 years later they decided to reopen the project. The zombies are let lose on a small town where it would be easy to cover up. High schoolers, the only ones sporadically out and about at night, become the prime food group for the zombies. When a group of teens decide to fight back it becomes redneck kids vs zombies! It’s kind of like The Crazies, but a little different. Check it out!
