Stills & Teaser From Invasion Of The Not Quite Dead

I’ve been following IndyWood Films on Twitter for a while. Their upcoming film, The Invasion of The Not Quite Dead, is particularly interesting because it has been in the works for four years…because it is 100% fan funded. Funding for the film has come entirely from fans donating to the film through social media sites like Facebook and Twitter. I’m almost positive this is one of the first cases where this has happened. Ad Lane, the director, is currently in another marathon tweeting session trying to gather the remaining funds to finalize the film. Monitor his twitter journey here.

The synopsis as follows: “In 1978 a meteorite crash lands into the Swiss Mountains, unleashing a deadly virus. Killing everyone within a 20 mile radius, the incident was covered up by local officials. Now thirty years later the virus is released onto an unsuspecting island off the coast of England. A group of survivors must band together in order to survive the death and destruction of the once friendly locals in this black comedy horror “Invasion Of The Not Quite Dead.” Starring in Invasion are Zach Galligan, Frank Jakeman, Holly Matthews, Terry Stone, Kim Sonderholm, Ken Russell, and Leslie Simpson.

Most Recently Ad Lane and Indywood Films have been gathering money to shoot their ambitious opening scene.  Last month (if I’m not mistaken), they gathered enough money and headed to shoot the scene in Bulgaria. You can view the trailer here.. It begs the questions what the camouflaged troops have to do with the zombies. Maybe trying to contain fleeing infected? Should be interesting! Below are stills that I’ve borrowed from their Official Facebook.

Invasion Of The Not Quite Dead is expected to be released in 2012.
