Friday Fright Night presents The Tingler IN PERCEPTO!

Last year we showed William Castle’s House on Haunted Hill in EMERGO, the same way it was originally shown when the film was released in 1959 (and we will be doing it again this year on July 8), and the crowd loved it! William Castle was an absolute genius when it came to marketing his films, and his creation of the viewing experience Percepto is no exception. What exactly is Percepto? Come on, we can’t answered that, that would take all the fun out of it. What is The Tingler? Well, now that is something we can answer.

Dr. Warren Chapin (Vincent Price) is a pathologist who regularly conducts autopsies on executed prisoners at the State prison. He has a theory that fear is the result of a creature that inhabits all of us. His theory is that the creature is suppressed by our ability to scream when fear strikes us. Extreme fear should make the creature, which Chapin has called the Tingler, come to life and grow. Now it’s time to test out is theory. William Castle made the guarantee that The Tingler will deliver more shocks per minute than his last film, House on Haunted Hill.

And, let us not forget to mention that May 27 is the 100th birthday of the one and only, Vincent Price. Come on out for a terror-ific birthday bash that only Friday Fright Night could throw.

Friday Fright Night will be taking over the Time Community Theater once again, located at 445 N. Main St. in Downtown Oshkosh. And the best part is that ALL the movies are still FREE!!! How can you pass it up; free movie, cheap snacks and good company. Check out the trailer below and also the poster for the full line-up. We have tons of fun stuff planned this year so mark those calendars!
