Oshkosh Horror Presents Mihmiverse Double Feature

Mihmiverse Double Feature – Saturday, June 11  6:30PM

Oshkosh Horror has teamed up with Saint Euphoria Picutres and superfan Bob Arndt to bring you an event that must be seen to believe. No, correction: must be EXPERIENCED to believe. We have teamed up to showcase the films of the Minnesota writer/producer/director Christopher R. Mihm, and to surmerge you into is world, rather his universe. Ladies and gentlemen, we are pleased to bring you the Mihmiverse Double Feautre!

Upon viewing, one would expect the Mihmiverse films to be from the 1950s and 1960s, but we have some news for you: They aren’t. In fact, Mihm’s first feautre, The Monster of Phanton Lake came out in 2006. These films are black and white love letters to the B-movies of yesteryear. So, in other words, if you enjoy Friday Fright Night, you are going to love this event!

The event will be hosted horror host, Dr. Ivan Cryptosis, the Curator of the Macabre. Rumor is that he will be treating the audience to a heavy dose of entertainment during the intermission.

Starting out the night will be Terror From Beneath The Earth, was was originally released in 2009. After years of underground atomic testing, one of the animals living within the Wisawa caves (a system that stretches from Phantom Lake to the Deadlands) has undergone a radical and unimaginably horrible transformation! While exploring the caves, Dr. Vincent Edwards (Mike Cook) and colleague Rosemary Bennett (Stephanie Mihm) stumble across evidence in the disappearance of local children. After reporting the find to the local sheriff, Dr. Edwards and Rosemary are tapped to lead a rescue attempt. Along with the sheriff and small-town farmer Stan Johnson (the children’s father), the rescue party quickly comes to the realization that if the caves don’t get them, whatever unseen terror lurking in the shadows just might!

Closing out the night will be the area’s first screening of Mihm’s latest feature, Attack of the Moon Zombies! Twenty years have passed since Dr. Vincent Edwards (once again played by the ever-talented Mike Cook) took on a certain radiation-mutated bat creature and he is ready to retire. While training his replacement on the Jackson Lunar Base, the two stumble upon a seemingly impossible discovery: alien plant life on the surface of the moon! Unfortunately, exposure to the spores of this otherworldly flora cause instant death. Too bad those killed by them don’t stay dead and instead, want nothing more than to replicate!

Keep in mind that there is going to be so much more going on then just the movies themselves. The event will be hosted horror host, Dr. Ivan Cryptosis, the Curator of the Macabre. Rumor is (well, it’s not a rumor actually, it’s confirmed) that he will be treating the audience to a heavy dose of entertainment during the intermission. There will also be era-appropriate newsreels and trailers, the opportunity to meet writer/director Christopher R. Mihm, photos with the title creatures from the films (bring your camera!), and a raffle! DVDs, posters, and other merchandise will be on sale at the event! A few members of the cast and crew will also be on hand and will be more than happy to sign autographs!

This is going to be one hell of a party, and you are invited… everyone is invited! Doors open at 5:30pm, the show will start 6:30pm. Bring your friends and come enjoy some 1950s style horror. We know for a fact you have never seen an event like this one.

Hope that finger of yours is feeling click happy, it’s time for links up the wazoo!
