Gabby West is taking part in L.A.’s annual Bowling For Boobies event. Bowling For Boobies is a charity bowling event that raises money strictly for the purpose of helping women pay some of their hospital and medical bills they’ve acquired while fighting and surviving breast cancer. The event, which will conclude donations on October 23rd, will be held at Jillian’s Hi-Life at Universal City Walk. The event will be preceded by red carpet appearances and walks, followed by the actual bowling event. Jane Wieldlin (from The Go-Go’s) will be serving as an MC/host function for the Bowling For Boobies event.
Gabby West is part of the “Horror Starlets” bowling team. Other horror starlets on Gabby’s team include Allison Kyler (ChromeSkull II), Sarah Butler (I Spit On Your Grave), Ashlynn Yennie (The Human centipede), Brooke Lewis (Ms. Vampy), Cerina Vincent (Cabin Fever), Carlee Baker (Wicked Lake), and FX artist Jacky Belle. This isn’t your usual charity or funding project like the ones you see featured at HorrorSociety. While donating to the cause is highly appreciated, this event also serves a purpose. If you don’t plan on donating, there are still things you can do to help the fight against breast cancer. Retweet and facebook the article to raise awareness; maybe a friend may donate a couple bucks. Also, celebrity’s reach a wider audience than the average joe, and maybe reposting this article will inspire someone to go get tested for cancer or finally seek treatment. I know it’s corny, but knowledge is truly half the battle.
