Yeah, folks, the title pretty much says it all. Over 7,300,000 people tuned in for The Walking Dead’s season two premiere last night on AMC. The first episode titled “What Lies Ahead,” picks up right where the season one finale left off. The survivors have narrowly escaped the termination and explosion of the CDC Headquarters. Now they’re plagued with the notion of their being no hope left in a world full of zombies. As the group continues forward in search of survivors and safe haven, an unexpected appearance by a zombie herd leaves fractures in the group. Will a missing member be found alive and can they stay together in their fight for survival?
In my opinion, I was very pleased with the first half hour of the episode, but then it kind of faltered in the second half. “Lots of walking around because white girl can’t follow directions,” as I put it. Friends of mine weren’t happy with the premiere either and I think everyone was left a little confused by the cliff hanger.
