Horror Takes Flight In ‘7500’

Takashi Shimizu (Ju-on and The Grudge franchise) will be serving as the pilot as he flies 7500 to a theater near you. Ok, that was my last really cheesy airplane metaphor, I promise. I’m uncertain as to which phase 7500 is currently in, but there are a few early details that several sources are reporting. The synopsis of 7500 is briefly described as, “Passengers aboard a flight across the Pacific Ocean encounter a supernatural force.” I can understand why it is so brief. 7500 has a tentative theatrical release date of August 31, 2012. So, it makes sense to keep elements hush-hush as to build anticipation for this upcoming horror-thriller.

The one thing that is not so brief is the cast list. While character roles haven’t been confirmed yet, several actors and actresses have popped up on the film’s IMDB page. Ryan Kwanten (Dead Silence) and Amy Smart (Mirrors) are rumored to be the two main characters; while reports also suggest they will be joined by Jamie Chung (Sorority Row), Leslie Bibb (Trick ‘r Treat), and Scout Taylor Compton (Rob Zombie’s Halloween). Seems like 7500 will have an awesome cast if this all turns out to be true. I can’t wait to see how they all interact together. 7500 will be produced by CBS Films and Ozla Pictures.

I will keep everyone at HorrorSociety up to date as this film progresses.
