DAYS OF THE DEAD Announces Actor and Wrestler TYLER MANE

It is with great pleasure that DAYS OF THE DEAD announces actor and former wrestler,TYLER MANE, to it’s DAYS OF THE DEAD II show happening March 9th-11th, 2012, in Peachtree City, GA.

After retiring from professional wrestling, Mane has appeared in numerous films, including X-Men as Sabretooth (his film debut), How to Make a Monster (as Hardcore), Joe Dirt, The Scorpion King, Troy (as Ajax), Hercules (as Antaeus), and The Devil’s Rejects (in the uncredited role of Rufus). The role of Sabretooth was initially intended for Mane’s former wrestling tag team parter, Kevin Nash, but was awarded to Mane due to Nash’s scheduling conflicts. Nash would, however, get a small role in a later Marvel Comics film, The Punisher.

In 2007, he filmed Rob Zombie’s remake of Halloween, in which he played the iconic starring role of Michael Myers. After winning the role, he noted that he consecutively watched seven of the eight Halloween films (excluding the third because Michael Myers does not appear) to better understand his character. He is the tallest actor (6′ 9″) to portray the character.[3] In 2009, he reprised the role again in Rob Zombie’s H2, becoming only the second actor to play Michael Myers more than once, and the only actor to play the role in two consecutive films.

The MEN BEHIND THE MASK Return For DAYS OF THE DEAD II (Atlanta)
What happens when you stick four of the biggest, baddest men in horror in one room and unleash them upon a crowd of horror fans? DAYS OF THE DEAD aims to find out when they bring their fan favorite MEN BEHIND THE MASK panel to DAYS OF THE DEAD II, happening Saturday, March 10th, 2012 during the convention’s weekend take over of Peachtree City, GA just outside Atlanta.

The first MEN BEHIND THE MASK panel was one of the most talked about events at the first DAYS OF THE DEAD show, which happened last July in Indianapolis, IN, and featuredDerek Mears (Friday the 13th 2009), Brian Steele (Predators, Underworld), and Andrew Bryniarski (Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2003). This time around, DAYS OF THE DEAD is bringing back veterans Mears and Steele while inviting two new masked men to join the fold: Nick Principe (who played Chromeskull in the Laid to Rest franchise) and Tyler Mane(known in the horror genre for portraying Michael Meyers in both of Rob Zombie’sHalloween movies)

Lending themselves to a barrage of questions from an audience of convention goers, MEN BEHIND THE MASK will offer a personal forum for which fans can discuss their favorite roles and films with four of the elite masked costume actors in the horror genre….if they dare!
