H.M. Coakley returns with “Hollaback”

(woop woooooop. am i the only one who remembers that song?)

Anyway, I have some silly news to share with you all. A sequel to 2006’s Holla is in the works. I originally thought Holla was an African-American parody of Scream, but it turns out it is its own stand alone series about a girl being stalked by her evil twin sister. So, I guess it’s more like a combo of Scream and Halloween then? Holla was sent to theaters with a limited release and pretty much recouped its budget, which means a sequel is warranted, of course!

Hollaback sees H.M. Coakley return as director to his semi-successful film series. He also returns as the script writer and this time we see that, “Monica has taken great measures to ensure her safety. Now she finally believes she is safe from her evil twin sister Veronica. Little does she know that death and betrayal still await her and her friends on the night before her wedding. This time no one is safe and everyone is a suspect.” Created on a budget of $1,000,000 – let’s see if the sequel can out due the first film.

Hollaback stars Kiely Williams (“Cheetah Girls”), Vanessa Calloway (“Hawthorne”), Akeem Smith (“Teen Wolf”), Greg Cipes (Supergator), Shelli Boone (“Saints & Sinners”), and Allison Kyler (Laid To Rest 2).

I don’t have any other information about this film, which includes the release date. For all future updates you can always check the Hollaback official website by clicking here.
