Dimension Films and the team behind Piranha 3DD have just released two movie posters for this upcoming sequel. The first, more interesting poster can be found to the left and the second, “eh” poster can be found at the end of this post.
Piranha 3DD is the sequel to 2010’s highly successful creature feature, Piranha 3D. Piranha 3DD is written by Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton and directed by John Gulager. A basic summary of the film states: “A year after the attack on Lake Victoria by prehistoric piranhas, the creatures begin traveling through the town’s plumbing, gaining access to swimming pools and the newly opened water park ‘Big Wet’.”
Piranha 3DD will star Danielle Panabaker (Friday the 13th and The Crazies remakes), Ving Rhames (Dawn of The Dead remake), David Hasselhoff (Anaconda III), Christopher Lloyd (Back to The Future), Chris Zylka (Shark Night 3D), Gary Busy (Predator 2), and many more awesome actors. Sierra Holmes (VH1’s Scream Queens) will also have a small part that has yet to be disclosed.
This film has been wrapped for a long time, but a series of delays have pushed back its release until an unspecified date in 2012. Hopefully the release of the new posters is an indication of things to come!
