Play-Mate Of The Apes Comic To Launch Summer Of 2012 Issue 1 to Coincide with Cable Broadcast. The leading soft-erotic home entertainment label Seduction Cinema announced the July 2012 release of a comic book inspired by its popular “sexy spoof”, Play-Mate of the Apes. The comic’s release will coincide with the 2012 Showtime reup of Play-Mate of the Apes and SpiderBabe and the cable premiere of BatBabe: The Dark Nightie, and marks the studio’s first foray into the comic book industry.
Illustrated by radio personality and cartoonist Noel Scotch Anderson, the Play-Mate of the Apes comic expands upon the plot of the successful late-night cinema feature in which a trio of sexy young lesbian astronauts (played by Misty Mundae, Anoushka and Darian Caine) crash-land on a desolate planet dominated by a race of talking apes.
Play-Mate of the Apes comic is the first in a proposed series based upon Seduction Cinema’s popular “sexy spoofs”, and will be available in a deluxe package that includes a DVD of the film and new commentary by producer Michael Raso and film historian Ed Grant.
