Box office numbers, DVD sales, and television viewership for the week of May 18 to May 24, 2012.
Dark Shadows is still one of the top movies at The Box Office even though the movie is tanking when it comes to making back its budget. The Cabin In The Woods takes a huge drop in sales, but stays steady on the chart. Lovely Molly, a film we have advertised for on the site, comes in at #61 with just over $15,000 made. The Road and Keyhole aren’t doing much better, so make sure you go see all three over this long weekend!
4 2 Dark Shadows $17,344,000 (Total: $55,482,000)
17 14 The Cabin In The Woods $588,000 (Total: $40,758,000)
23 12 The Raven $366,000 (Total: $15,675,000)
52 60 Chronicle $28,000 (Total: $64,551,000)
61 Lovely Molly $16,000
65 43 The Road $9,000 (Total: $92,000)
95 121 Keyhole $1,000 (Total: $16,000)
The latest (last?) Underworld movie is the top dog at the DVD Top 30 Chart, just missing out on the #1 spot to The Vow. Thor moves up the chart a spot, Twilight is down a spot, and Harry Potter is still clinging on.
2 Underworld: Awakening $7,922,000
7 8 Thor $1,270,000 (Total: $23,948,000)
11 10 Twilight/Dawn 1 $454,000 (Total: $93,026,000)
27 27 Harry Potter/Hallows 2 $342,000 (Total: $88,697,000)
As we enter the summer, a lot of our favorite horror/scifi shows are taking their break. One in particular is Grimm, which scored high ratings for its season finale. I think Supernatural was up too, as was Eureka and Lost Girl.

Eureka – 1,624,000
Supernatural – 1,580,000
The Killing – 1,305,000
