Mischief Night – screenings and trailer

Be prepared to watch a trailer that takes an overdone horror concept and turns its completely on its head! Do I see something original? Yes, I do!

Some time ago I interviewed Richard Tanne on his role in Swamp Shark which was premiering on SyFy a day or so later. During the interview we briefly talked about another horror film he was working on titled Mischief Night.  After that interview I pretty much heard nothing about Mischief Night for a long time, but today Richard Tanne dropped an email in my inbox announcing that Mischief Night is officially completed!

Mischief Night is a horror movie that starts out like any other, as a teenage babysitter is stalked by a masked madman; but in an unusual turn of events, when victim and victimizer come face-to-face, they develop romantic feelings for each other. It was written and directed by Travis Baker and stars Brooke Anne Smith, Marc Valera, Nikki Limo (who I will always remember as the girl who did the energy drink PSA video), Erik Palladino (“ER,” “Over There”), and Malcolm McDowell (Rob Zombie’s Halloween & H2). Richard Tanne serves as producer on Mischief Night.

As it stands right now, the film is currently looking into distribution deals so that everyone can own it and enjoy it at home…or in theaters. I’m good with both venues. I’m really hoping to see Mischief Night in the future, both as a horror fan looking for something inventive and as a fan of Richard’s. Check out the trailer for the film below!
