Synopsis
Inspired by the 100-year-old Villisca (IA) ax murders, “Slay Utterly” is a modern adaptation of the gruesome crimes that gripped the nation’s heartland with terror. The film follows an embattled FBI agent on the trail of the elusive “Ax Man,” a ritualistic serial murderer who spares no one in his bloody path. In addition to confronting his own demons, the agent faces challenges posed by rural law enforcement agencies unable to properly process the brutal crime scenes. Investigating a number of colorful suspects, the agent races the clock to stop the Ax Man before he can claim more victims.
