Tonjia Atomic is currently in production of her first feature horror film called Claudia Qui.
The story of Claudia Qui is the story of a woman who is experiencing an identity crisis due to an unusual and unexpected experience. It weaves the natural and supernatural together with the music of the band Luminol to create a surreal story of possession. Cludia Qui stars Barbara Burgio and Don Ayers of the band Luminol.
Director Statement
While I’ve been making horror shorts and comedies now for several years, Claudia Qui is my first horror feature. I’m trying something new with this one and allowing the actors to improvise all of their dialogue. I have a loose outline but am also making many decisions “on the fly” while shooting. I’ve never taken this approach to a horror story before. It’s exciting and a little scary to let go of the tight control of the script and to let the story tell itself in this way. I decided to do it both as an exercise and as an artistic exploration.
