Casting Call Goes Out for Actress To Co-Star in The Beast

Gothic Productions International (GPI) is announcing an open casting call for an actress role in its upcoming horror film, The Beast. Any and all actresses who meet the stated requirements will be seriously considered for the part.

The Beast is the follow-up film in the association between GPI in the Philippines and the U.S. company Collective Development, Inc. (CDI). The film’s screenplay, penned by Gothic horror writer Russ Williams, deals with a demonic evil hidden for centuries until its terrifying release. A small band of individuals must face their own inner demons and find the strength to survive and subdue this evil. The consequences of not doing so are too terrible to imagine.

To fill this important actress role in The Beast, GPI is seeking an American (or American-accented) female co-star. GPI is issuing an open call for resumes and reel submissions to find the right person. Requirements for the role are:

• The actress must be in her mid 20s to early 30s.
• She must have had substantial roles in at least three previous films with 10 min. or more of
screen time in at least one.
• Horror film experience is a definite plus; the more the better.
• She must have a valid passport.
• The applicant must send a resume (or link) along with three photos: a headshot, full shot and one optional, along with a reel link to michaeltay@gothicpicturesintl.com. All applicants must be able to provide a reel link to extensive video clips from her work.

These requirements are set and not subject to change. The Beast will be filmed on location in the Philippines. Be advised that the role does have some limited and tasteful nudity. This co-starring part is a paid position with the amount pending negotiation and depending on experience. All transportation, lodging and production expenses will be covered.

The American DJ Perry (The 8th Plague, Deadly Renovations) will star in The Beast. Philippine director Ray Gibraltar (Wanted: Border, 2009) is set to direct The Beast in late 2012 or at the start of 2013. Wanted: Border bagged the Philippine Cinema One Film Festival 2009 awards for Best Picture, Best Actress, Best Production Design, Best Music and Best Cinematography, as well as Best Screenplay and Best Director for Gibraltar.

GPI and CDI previously collaborated to produce the “found-footage” horror film, Darkest Night, now completed. Negotiations with several companies are currently ongoing for worldwide distribution rights. The official website for Darkest Night is at https://www.darkestnightmovie.com. The website for GPI is at https://www.gothicpicturesintl.com.

Some of the previous acting troupe from Darkest Night (Kevin Vitug, Zeny Sevilla and others) are set to play roles in the film. Perry also headlined Darkest Night.
