STAB 6 Premieres 3 Months Early

That’s right! StabMovies.com’s third entry into their free-for-online viewing YouTube-tribute to the Scream films is already online! Originally announced to premiere on Halloween, “Stab 6: Ghostface Returns” picks up 3 months after “Stab 5” ended. After more of the Stab 4 cast is brutally murdered, reporter Kylie Scott, now the author of a book entitled “Manchester Massacre,” convinces the StabMovies Team to begin production on a new Stab 5, based on the “real life” murders of the cast of “Stab 4: Fresh Blood.” To cast this new “inspired-by-another-true-story” film, production also begins on a Stab Reality/Competition television show, where contestants compete for four roles in the new Stab 5. The only problem is: once you become a cast member of a Stab movie… someone… somewhere… wants you dead.

“We’re really excited that the film is online early!” says Joshua Patrick Dudley, writer/director/producer/actor/editor/the guy who does everything. “We are happy to be able to give our fans a treat by releasing the film so early because, they are the entire reason the films are being made. Without our amazing fans, there would be no reason to put our movies on YouTube!” Since debuting in 2010, StabMovies.com’s YouTube Channel has had over 4 million views and growing!

“The response is really overwhelming and exciting at the same time,” Dudley continues. “I felt a lot of pressure this time to make a better movie and I think that helped push us to the next level. We do still have some annoying audio errors and some shaky shots but, I like to think that the story and my writing have improved quite a bit. The characters in this movie are just so much more fun than those in the previous films. I wrote a lot comedy this time and that can be off putting in a horror movie but, like the Scream films, I hope we’ve made a good mash-up of comedy and horror with Stab 6. We really had a lot of fun making it and the fans seem to be really enjoying it! I’ll say one thing; it’s got one hell of an extended ending.”

Just in case you’re feeling blue about not being to watch the premiere of Stab 6 on Halloween, never fear! “We’re going to be releasing 3 short films on Halloween since Stab 6 premiered earlier than expected!” Dudley exclaims. “I wrote two of the scripts and I’m really pleased to announce that Rachel Arnold, my partner in StabMovies.com crime, wrote the other script! It’s her writing debut! We’re calling it our “Trifecta of Terror!” The first short is entitled “STABBED” and is another Scream tribute. The second is “THE GATES,” which is the one Rachel wrote and it’s a ghost story! The final film is called “Bloodlines” and it’s a vampire story! “We really hope our fans keep checking back because we have a LOT more in store for them!”
