I know that Sleep No More sounds like a new Nightmare On Elm Street documentary, but alas it is a completely independent title by Naptime Entertainment and ArtFIEND Productions. The companies describe Sleep No More as a mix of MTV’s Awkward, Lohan’s Mean Girls, and horror legends Carrie and Friday The 13th.
In Sleep No More, “Vivian McDougal is not what you would call popular. She is a misfit and social outcast in her high school. She is constantly at the mercy of the vicious popular clique, lead by the Queen Bee of the school, Carly Lane. After an incident which publicly humiliates her in front of the student body, one of her classmates steps up and decides to help Vivian. Raz is crazy, sexy, cool, and everything Vivian is not. Raz helps Vivian to realize her true potential and her true beauty. This catches the eye of James Stiffel, the most popular boy in school and Carly’s boyfriend. After another public humiliation that leaves Vivian defeated, Raz offers her a choice to end the bullying one and for all. A choice that will have deadly consequences for all involved.”
This psychological horror-thriller is written, produced, and directed by Nico Nice, with Brian Diaz as cowriter and Vikki Sin as coproducer. It will feature appearances by Melissa Simoson, Michael Jinx, Alyssa Porzuczek, Vikki Sin, Jessica Lindgren, Cassandra Leidel, Chris Wagner, Darwin Williams, Joe Biggs, Kimberly Sanders, Kimani Davis, Sharif Nevous, and Devon Fiorelli as Vivian. Sleep No More has an expected release date of Halloween 2013.
