Even though they are a dime a dozen, I can’t help but love haunted asylum movies. There is just something so frightening about being in an abandoned facility where the most deranged, crazy patients and brutal murderers were housed. Can you imagine being stuck in one and stalked by a supernatural force? Although, with Reel Evil, I’m not sure if the dark forces are spirits…or something else. Interesting!
In Reel Evil, “Struggling filmmakers – Kennedy, Cory and James – finally catch the break they were looking for when they are hired to shoot a ‘behind-the-scenes’ documentary for a major studio production. But their dream job quickly turns into a nightmare when they explore the legendary, haunted location and find something far worse than anything Hollywood could create. Reel Evil is written by Shane Bitterling and directed by Danny Draven. It will star Jessica Morris, Jeffrey Adler, Kaiwi Lyman-Mersereau, Jim Tavare, Galen Howard, Lino Dumont, and Spencer John Olson.
