Before any of you get your panties in a bunch, this is not a remake or converted 3D version of the Lucio Fulci classic film Zombie, but an entirely new offering.  Italian director Gianluca Petrazzi, using the pseudonym John Rock shot Zombie 3D in Rome.

According to the Italian website Splatter Container, Petrazzi is a stunt coordinator and weapons specialist who has worked on such films as The Italian Job, Quantum of Solace, Twilight: New Moon, and is currently branching out into directing.  Zombie 3D is not a film made for the Italian audience, but rather for the Canadian market.   If the film does well in Canada, then it would be distributed in the United States, then Italy and the rest of the world.

Plot Synopsis:

“In a not too far future, an unknown virus turns human beings into zombie fighters. HWU (Human World Union) is an army trained to fight this terrible plague spreading all over the planet. During the return of the troops from another battle zones, a radio signal is picked up by locust 1, assault units of the Alfa Division, Seems to say “Go back to pick us up.” This will force the six men of the Locust 1, back to hell from Which they just escaped, disobeying orders.

The temporary trailer for Zombie 3D features footage that has not been through the post-production process and lacks color correction, so it is not indicative of what the finished product will be.
