The Michigan produced thriller “Locked in a Room” produced by At Risk Entertainment in Association with Collective Development Inc. and directed by Larry Simmons debuted on Google Play.

This new instant movie platform boasts 52 billion downloads subscribers.  The film co-stars DJ Perry as one of the film’s main antagonists in the film Mr. Creepy. Many also know DJ Perry from his emotionally driven characters like Benjamin in the hit biblical drama “Book of Ruth, Journey of Faith” or John Sunderland in the Civil War drama “Wicked Spring”. The 4th quarter of 2012 brought on the release of his “Deadly Renovations” with a Scandinavian 2013 release. In November 2013, DJ completed co-starring in the faith drama “Ashes of Eden” and March 22nd brings on “Darkest Night” which is a Christmas vacation gone terribly wrong. “Figure in the Forest,” “The 8th Plague,” “7 Stones” followed by upcoming dark thriller “Donors”.

“My fan base is wonderfully diverse. People have their own taste in films and that usually runs through many genres. I’m happy to play in them all.” – DJ Perry

DJ Perry has made a living playing rough around the edges grey characters like Buddy Colt in “Judges” a fantasy western about bounty hunters trying to deliver a town from corruption. Guns, God, monsters and ministry – and journey’s that run from salvation to the slaughter of the demonically possessed. With so many shades to his characters and millions in gross dollars typecasting isn’t something he seems to worry about. With a string of films to be released and others on the production deck such as “The Beast,” “Somnium” as well as biblical films “Rachel” and “Rahab,” it doesn’t look like things are going to change anytime soon. The point made is that Christians do watch “The Walking Dead” and horror fans will watch wholesome programming with family. It’s crossover actors like DJ Perry that will likely be given some credit for helping inspirational films find a mainstream home.
