2000 – Screamin’ Jay Hawkins, who wrote the song “I Put a Spell on You,” passed away at the age of 70. As the opening for his stage act, he would often rise from a coffin.

2000 – Charles Shultz, creator of the “Peanuts” gang and who gave us that wonderful holiday show “It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown,” passed away at the age of 77.

1982 – Victor Jory, who appeared in the films “The Man Who Turned To Stone” and “Catwomen of the Moon,” passed away at the age of 79.

1970 – Guy Endore, is best known for his novel “The Werewolf of Paris” which the Hammer film “Curse of the Werewolf” is based upon, he also wrote the screenplays for “Mark of the Vampire”, and wrote “The Raven”, “Mad Love”, and “The Devil-Doll”.
