1986 – Teresa Palmer, who starred in “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice,” “I am Number 4”, “The Grudge 2”, and the recent “Warm Bodies”.

1975 – Drew Goddard, writer and director of “The Cabin in the Woods” also wrote episodes of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”, “Angel”, and wrote “Cloverfield” and its upcoming sequel.

1968 – Ed Quinn, who starred in “Starship Troopers 2,” “House of the Dead 2” and the Tv series “eureka.”

1964 – Mark Dacascos, appeared in “The Island of Dr. Moreau”, and “Brotherhood of the Wolf”.

1950 – Don Shanks, who played “Michael Myers” in “Halloween 5,” and appeared in the films “Urban Legends 3: Bloody Mary” and “The Crow: Salvation.”

1933 – Comedian Godfrey Cambridge, who starred in the film “Son of the Blob” a.k.a. “Beware the Blob.”

1921 – Clarice Blackburn, who played “Mrs. Johnson” on the daytime nightmare soap opera “Dark Shadows.”

1920 – Michael Pate, who starred in the film “Curse of the Undead” and appeared in “The Tower of London” (1962) and “Howling II.” In the 60’s and 70’s he also appeared in numerous TV series including “Batman,” “The Time Tunnel” and “Alfred Hitchcock Hour.”

1918 – Theodore Sturgeon, who wrote for such TV series as the original “Star Trek,” “The Invaders” and 80’s version of “The Twilight Zone.” He also wrote the screenplay for the TV movie “Killdozer.”

1914 – Robert Alda, father of Alan. He appeared in the films “The Beast With Five Fingers,” “The Devil’s Hand” and “The House of Exorcism.”

1887 – William Frawley, best known for playing “Fred Mertz” on “I Love Lucy.” He appeared in the film “Abbott & Costello Meet the Invisible Man.”

1802 – Victor Hugo, author of “The Hunchback of Notre Dame.”
