In more casting news for 20th Century Fox’s upcoming sequel Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, we’ve learned that Gary Oldman (The Dark Knight Rises) has signed on to the cast as one of the leaders of the human reisistance.
Deadline is reporting, Gary Oldman is joining Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes, the Matt Reeves-directed sequel to Fox‘s successful ape reboot Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes.
Oldman will play Dreyfus, leader of the human resistance after the apes have taken over. Oldman will join Kodi Smit-McPhee (Paranorman, Let Me In) and Jason Clarke (Zero Dark Thirty) in the cast.
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is slated for a May 23rd, 2014 release date.
