2009 – Ron Silver, who co-starred in the films “Silent Rage,” “The Entity and “Timecop,” passed away at the age of 62.

2007 – Alice Backes who co-starred in “The Twonky,” appeared on the TV series “The Munsters,” “Boris Karloff’s Thriller” and Kolchak: The Night Stalker,” passed away at the age of 83.

2007 – Stuart Roseneberg, who directed the 1979 version of “The Amityville Horror,” passed away at the age of 79.

2004 – Chuck Niles, who appeared in the films, “Invisible Invaders,” “Face of the Screaming Werewolf” and “Nightmare Circus,” passed away at the age of 76.

1937 -The father of modern horror H.P. (Howard Phillips) Lovecraft, passed away at the age of 46. His written works include “Hebert West, Re – Animator,” “The Case of Charles Dexter Ward” on which the film “Haunted Palace” was based and “The Colour Out of Space” on which the films “Die Monster Die” and “The Curse” were based.
