Who wants to learn some useless horror movie trivia? There are thousands of horror titles out there, and it’s about time we learn what happened behind-the-scenes or something interesting that most horror fans won’t know. This is the first installment of – Useless Horror Movie Trivia.

Halloween II (1981): Halloween II was originally written to take place in a high rise apartment building. Later in script meetings, however, the setting was changed to Haddonfield Hospital.

American Psycho (2000): The first porn movie Bateman is watching is White Angel. The second is Red Vibe Diaries: Object of Desire.

The Grudge (2004): The spooky popping sounds that accompany the appearance of the female ghost were made with a hair comb.

Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004): The Nemesis suit weighs over 30 pounds. His machine gun, which he had to hold with one hand, weighs about 65 pounds.

Cry_Wolf (2005): Jeff Wadlow’s feature debut. He got the chance to make Cry_Wolf after winning $1,000,000 at the 2002 Chrysler Million Dollar Film Festival.

Behind The Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon (2006): When Leslie first takes Taylor and her crew to meet Eugene and his wife, the car parked in Eugene’s driveway is the same color, make and model as the car seen in The Evil Dead films.

Wrong Turn 2 (2007): According to director Joe Lynch on the DVD commentary, 300 gallons of blood were used in the film.

Diary of The Dead (2007): In the scene with the zombie doctors, a voice can be heard on the radio inviting people to aim for the head. This is the voice of Tom Savini, a longtime friend of George A. Romero. In fact, this audio is lifted directly from the bonus features of the remake of Dawn of the Dead.

Scream 4 (2011): Halloween remake star Scout Taylor-Compton and Youtube celebrity Shane Dawson auditioned for roles in the movie.

Piranha 3DD (2012): Nickelodeon star Miranda Cosgrove auditioned for the role of Maddy, but lost it to Danielle Panabaker.
