2009 – Harry Harris, who directed episodes of several TV shows including “Lost in Space,” “Land of the Giants,” “The Man From Atlantis” and “Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea,” passed away at the age of 86.
2007 – Calvert DeForest, better known to watchers of “David Letterman,” as “Larry ‘Bud’ Melman,” passed away at the age of 85. He appeared in “My Demon Lover” and “Freaked.”
2004 – John Dennis, who appeared in the films “Conquest Of Space,” “Frankenstein 1970,” “Conquest Of The Planet Of The Apes,” as well as a slew of TV shows, passed away at the age of 84.
1989 – Charles Lamb, who has appeared in the films “Jack the Ripper,” “Curse of the Werewolf” and “Quatermass and the Pit,” passed away at the age of 88.
1985 – Anthony Nelson Keys, who produced the Hammer films “Curse of Frankenstein,” “Horror of Dracula,” “The Mummy” and “Curse of the Werewolf,” passed away at the age of 74.
1950 – Tarzan’s creator, Edgar Rice Burroughs, passed away at the age of 74. He also penned the novels “The Land That Time Forgot,” “The People That Time Forgot” and “At the Earth’s Core.”
