2010 – Robert Culp who starred in “The Demon With the Glass Hand” episode of the original “Outer Limits” TV show and appeared in the TV movies “Santa’s Slay” “The Chill Factor” and the film “Silent Night, Deadly Night 3,” passed away at the age of 79.

2004 – Richard Leech, who appeared in the film “Curse of the Devil” and the TV series “Doctor Who,” passed away at the age of 81.

2003 – Philip Yordan, who had written screenplays for the films “Day of the Triffids,” “The Unholy” and “Conquest of Space,” passed away at the age of 88.

1997 – Writer Martin Caidin, who wrote the novel “Marooned” on which the movie was based, and the novel “Cyborg,” on which the TV show “The Six Million Dollar Man” was based, passed away at the age of 69.

1984 – Sam Jaffe, best known for his role as “Dr. Zorba” on the TV series “Ben Casey,” passed away at the age of 93. He appeared in the films “The Dunwich Horror,” “The Day the Earth Stood Still” and the TV pilot for “Night Gallery.”

1905 – Jules Verne, author of the novel’s “Journey to the Center of the Earth” and “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea,” passed away at the age of 77.
