‘AXEMAN AT CUTTER’S CREEK’ is an ‘80’s style slasher film about nine vacationing twenty-somethings who are hunted down by an axe-wielding local legend.

#TeamAxeman made up of the AXEMAN AT CUTTER’S CREEK writer/director and co-star Joston Theney and DeadInk Apparel owner Justin Haines announced today that they will be in attendance at Days of the Dead Los Angeles 2013 along with one of the film’s stars, and fellow #TeamAxeman alum, Elissa Dowling (Cheap Thrills and Bloody Bloody Bible Camp) to further promote the project. The three will be on-hand to sign free promotional items and share selected scenes to the public. #TeamAxeman will also be entering fans’ names into a drawing for tickets to the Los Angeles premiere of the of the film. So join #TeamAxeman at Days of the Dead this weekend to see selected scenes, receive free promotional items and enter to win tickets to the Los Angeles premiere of the film!

“Coming off of a strong showing at the previous convention a week or so ago, we’re so amped to get this film out,” said Joston Theney, the film’s writer/director and co-star. When asked what he thinks his 80’s slasher contributes to the horror genre, Theney enthusiastically replied, “This film breathes life back into old school 80’s slashers. It isn’t just a throwback, it IS an 80’s slasher flick. The Axeman is the new face of horror.”

“I usually tell people not to believe the rumors, but this one is true. This movie rocks,” exclaimed Haines, owner of the film’s premiere clothing company Dead Ink Apparel. We asked Haines how his designs were incorporated into the film and he answered, “Wardrobe is an incredibly important part of any story. A character’s appearance immediately helps the audience identify with who he or she is and we gave Joston and the rest of #TeamAxeman so many options to help them get their visions across. I’m just so happy to see the response we’re getting for the film and the wardrobe. Last convention was a blast and we’re looking to explode onto the scene at Days of the Dead Los Angeles. See you guys there!”

“#TeamAxeman, baby,” Elissa Dowling, one of the film’s stars screamed when asked what she thinks of the film. “The buzz and hype surrounding this film has been incredible. But most importantly, it’s so well deserved. We just had a screening the other night and it was AWESOME! Can’t wait for the fans to check it out.” When we pushed regarding their plans for Days of the Dead, we only received word from Ms. Dowling, who gave us, “Be sure to seek out our table. We will be signing promotional items completely FREE and entering people into a drawing for tickets to the premiere. Look for #TeamAxeman at Days of the Dead Los Angeles and get free signed stuff!”

Rounding out the cast are Chantelle Albers, Ray Trickitt, Eliza Kiss, Dylan Hobbs, Stephen Eith, Nihilist Gelo, Carlos Javier Castillo, Joston Theney, Paula Tracey Wilson, Suzi Hale and NBA superstar Scot Pollard as the Axeman.
