‘Hemlock Grove’ Gives Netflix Ratings Boost With Early Viewers

Netflix logoFrom Netflix analysts, it seems as if a lot of us horror fans have helped their original horror series, Hemlock Grove to strong ratings among early viewers.  Whether you liked it or hated it, many have been watching just to check out the show, I’m still in the undecided category for now, but I will give the show its due and then decide whether I like it or not.

According to Deadline, CEO Reed Hastings told analysts today that Hemlock Grove is “getting viewed by even more subscribers in its first couple of days” than House Of Cards was in February.  Overall the company is “feeling very excited” about the original shows, which provide “a very nice redefinition and broadening of what Netflix is.”

This proves that horror is as big with viewers as ever and if nothing else, it can only hope to spawn more genre shows on the network and across the industry as well…here’s to hoping.
