1979 – Writer/Producer/Director/Actor Jose Prendes, who wrote directed and starred in “Corpses Are Forever” and “Monster Man.”. He also appeared in the film “The Day the Earth Stopped.”

1977 – Tom Welling, who played “Clark Kent” on the “Smallville” TV show. Her also starred in the 2005 remake of “The Fog.”

1967 – Glen Jacobs, a.k.a. the wrestler Kane. He starred in the film “See No Evil.”

1963 – Jet Li, who starred in “Black Mask” and “The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.”

1961 – Joan Chen, who played “Jocelyn Packard” in the series’ “twin peaks” and the film “Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me.”

1940 – Giorgio Moroder who composed the scores for the film “Cat People” and created a new score for the silent film “Metropolis.”

1912 – Sci-fi writer Alfred Elton Van Vogt. He wrote the “Null” trilogy and episodes of the TV series’ “The Twilight Zone,” “Night Gallery” and “Tales Of Tomorrow.”

1910 – The late Tomoyuki Tanaka who produced films for Toho for 49 years, including just about every Godzilla film .

1897 – Philip Tonge who appeared in the films, “Invisible Invaders,” the original “House of Wax” and “Macabre.”
