2009 – The “original” ghost hunter, Hans Holzer, passed away at the age of 89. He authored over 100 books, most about the paranormal. His most famous investigation was of the house at 112 Ocean Avenue in Amityville, New York, which inspired the original “Amityville Horror” Holzer wrote two books on the subject entitled “The Amityville Curse” and “The Secret of Amityville.”

2005 – Michael Coles, who appeared in “Dracula A.D. 1972,” “The Satanic Rites of Dracula” and the film “Dr. Who And The Daleks,” passed away at the age of 68.

2005 – Mason Adams, who appeared in the films “The Final Conflict,” “God Told Me To” and the 1995 version of “Not of this Earth,” passed away at the age of 86.

1999 – Louis Peraino, who produced the original “Texas Chainsaw Massacre,” “Legacy of Satan” and “The Devil’s Rain,” passed away at the age of 59.

1997 – John Beal who played the title role in the film “The Vampire,” appeared in “Amityville 3-D” and in the TV series “Dark Shadows,” passed away at the age of 87.

1986 – Bessie Love who appeared in “Children of the Damned,” “Vampyres,” and “The Hunger,” passed away at the age of 87.

1981 – Jim Davis who appeared in the films “Monster From Green Hell,” “Dracula vs. Frankenstein” and “Jesse James Meets Frankenstein’s Daughter,” passed away at the age of 71.
