1931 – The late Nick Adams who appeared in “Frankenstein Conquers the World,” “Monster Zero” and “Die Monster Die” with Boris Karloff.

1929 – George Clayton Johnson who wrote the novel “Logan’s Run,” and segment # 2 of “Twilight Zone: The Movie,” as well as for the original and 1980s version of “The Twilight Zone” TV series’.

1926 – Fred Gywnne who played lovable ole “Herman Munster.” He also starred in the film “Pet Semetary.”

1914 – Joe Shuster, who created “Superman.”

1903 – John Wyndham who wrote the novels “Day of the Triffids” and “The Midwich Cuckoos” on which the film “Village of the Damned” was based.
