Looks like the perfect place for a horror flick. This cabin out in Manchester is the filming location for ANIMAL….
Kevin Shea, a line producer with Rocky Hill based Synthetic Cinema International, said the cabin’s isolated location in the deep woods was perfect. And the cabin itself, with its rich old chestnut and roomy interior, is ideal for filming, Shea said.
Andrew Gernhard, a producer with Synthetic Cinemas, said the film is being co-produced with Flower Films, actress Drew Barrymore’s company. The cast includes Lauren Keyana “Keke” Palmer, whose work includes the film, “Akeelah and the Bee,” and Elizabeth Gillies, who starred in the Nickelodeon sitcom, “Victorious,” and several films, Gernhard said.
“Animal” is to be released in theaters in the spring of 2014, probably with an R rating, Gernhard said. After that, it goes to video on demand and then to the Chiller Films cable network, he said.
