1997 – Beat poet/writer William S. Burroughs, who narrated the 1968 re-release of the silent film “Häxan: Witchcraft Through the Ages,” passed away at the age of 83.

1995 – Writer/Actor/Producer Al Adamson, was discovered murdered in his home. His films included “Brain of Blood,” “Horror of the Blood Monsters” and “Dracula vs. Frankenstein.”

1976 – Director Fritz Lang, whose films include, of course “Metropolis,” “M” and “Siegfried,” passed away at the age of 85.

1975 – Jean Yarbrough, who directed the films “The Devil Bat,” “King of the Zombies” and “The She-Wolf of London,” passed away at the age of 74.
