“Melissa is a very skilled, professional actress and model; she has 4 years experience in the industry and is never afraid to take on new challenges! Melissa has recently played Main cast characters in the films ‘Exorcist Chronicles’ and ‘Dead Walkers’ by Phillip Gardiner. She has also featured modelling in several editions of ‘AWESOME’ magazine. Melissa is a great method actress and can adapt herself to a whole array of different characters from a screaming possessed woman to a sympathetic funeral mourner!

Among several other credited feature films Melissa has also appeared in episodes of ‘Holby City’ for the BBC and ‘A touch of cloth’ for Sky one.
Melissa takes direction well and is very easy and adaptable to work with – she can learn scripts with ease and finds acting a very enjoyable part of her life rather than ‘just a job’, Melissa enjoys sports such as ice skating, she was part of an ice hockey team in the past and is now an experienced runner.

1. How did you get into the industry?

As a teenager I always wanted to get into the film/T.V industry but never got around to doing anything about it (How ridiculous!) I married; had lovely children and then the thought came back again four years ago. I had a trawl around the internet to get some information on how to start and submitted my (non-existent) experience and details.

To my surprise, I was contacted quick quickly and before I knew it I was working on feature films and participating in dramas for the BBC!
This lead to more serious acting over the last couple of years and have recently had some fantastic roles in U.S films.

2. What Scream Queen inspired you most?

Many will say that she is not a Scream Queen but I believe she is – Jodie Foster! The fear that she portrays in ‘Silence Of The Lambs’ and ‘Panic Room’ is truly believable in every way! You don’t have to just ‘scream your lungs out’ to be a Scream Queen.

3. What are the next couple projects you are working on?

I’m currently working on a film titled ‘Blood Curse – The Haunting Of Alicia Stone’ This is a supernatural horror which I’m very excited about. It’s written and directed by my husband –Keiron Hollett. I play the character of Alicia Stone. Keiron is also playing the part of my husband – Jason. I also have a few ‘secret’ things in the pipeline that I can’t talk about right now but I will be sharing them soon!
