The G-string Horror

Synopsis

When a production company starts shooting a horror film in a 100 year old…and actually haunted…Sid Grauman built movie palace turned strip club in San Francisco, the ‘inhabitants’ revolt and take over the movie for their own purposes with bizarre and shocking results. The undead, shapeshifting phantasm of a murdered stripper possesses an actress playing a character in the movie in a savage attempt to escape the prison of the decaying theater to which she has been haphazardly and cruelly condemned. She makes her getaway…free now to pursue her lurid destiny in the world at large.

The G-string Horror has been described by one reviewer as ‘an independent, European-style surrealist film with great horror exploitation values’. ‘Magical realism meets cinema verite meets George Romero’, said another. A disclaimer before the main titles warns that…’Parts of the film…may induce unpredictable paranormal states. Viewer discretion strongly advised,’

Director’s Statement:
There’s nothing like shooting in a psychic vortex. No telling what you’re going to get from the camera…or the actors for that matter. Much of the strange tale told in the film actually happened in a slightly different form. Shots were moved around in the edit…not my doing. At times the movie DID change each time it was viewed…not just for me…others also. The actors were “not themselves” at times. On several occasions when an actress was playing a fictional version of one of the ghosts, it seemed that the “real” ghost took over and enjoyed being “exercised” by a human host.
