A new zombie flick that I’ve been really wanting to see is the British comedy/horror film Cockneys vs. Zombies, and for those of you who agree with me will be glad to know that we have the home video release details for the film right here!

From The Press Release

Welcome to the East End of London, a place that has encountered the most heinous villains ever to walk the earth. But until now, London has never seen anything as zany and entertaining as two generations of unlikely heroes take on the zombie Armageddon. On September 3, 2013, Shout’s SCREAM FACTORY will unleash popular U.K zombie action comedy COCKNEYS VS. ZOMBIES on Blu-ray™ and DVD. Packed with extensive bonus content, each Blu-ray and DVD edition allows viewers to enjoy COCKNEYS VS. ZOMBIES on the viewing platform of their choice and includes spectacular movie presentation on Blu-ray/ DVD and a free digital download of the movie compatible with PC, MAC, iTunes, iPod, iPhone , iPad and Apple TV. Available in-stores everywhere, COCKNEYS VS. ZOMBIES Blu-ray edition (Blu-ray + digital copy) is priced to own at $24.97 SRP; and the DVD + digital copy edition is available at $19.97 SRP.

Directed by Matthias Hoene (Trigger Point) and written by James Moran (Torchwood, Severance), this uproariously funny comedy boasts and impressive British cast of Rasmus Hardiker (Your Highness, Lead Balloon), Harry Treadaway (The Lone Ranger, 2013), Michelle Ryan (Bionic Woman, 2007), Georgia King (The New Normal), Richard Brier (Much Ado About Nothing), Honor Blackman (Goldfinger) and Alan Ford (Snatch, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels).

When some down-on-their-luck old-timers are at risk of losing their home to developers, a group of young, inept criminals decide to take matters into their own hands. The only thing standing in their way? A zombie outbreak in London! Now, it’s up to a bunch of east-enders to fight their way out of the zombie-infested city, led by an unlikely gang of amateur bank robbers and foul-mouthed, plucky pensioners.
