One of her first films was a kung-fu epic called Bruce Lee Fights Back from the Grave (1976) (aka “Bruce Lee Fights Back from the Grave”), which earned her celebrity status in South Korea. Eventually, she got her break in “A” films with a cameo in The Amazing Howard Hughes (1977) (TV) with Tommy Lee Jones. She landed roles in Protocol (1984) with Goldie Hawn, The Man Who Wasn’t There (1983) with Steve Guttenberg, D.C. Cab (1983) with Gary Busey, Action Jackson (1988) with Carl Weathers and such TV series as “Miami Vice” (1984), “General Hospital” (1963) and “The Young and the Restless” (1973).

Deborah became a “Scream Queen” from starring in many “B” horror movies. Among the most notable of them are Sorority Girls and the Creature from Hell (1990) (frequently shown on USA’s “Up All Night”), Hard to Die (1990)–a Roger Corman cult classic–and the erotic hit Death Dancers (1993).

Deborah’s newest releases are Dead Air (1999), in which she stars, and Baberellas (2003) as a guest star, a sci-fi comedy for Showtime movie channel. She has appeared in The Last Run (2004) starring Fred Savage and directed by Jonathan Segal, and American Ride (2005), a Gold-Dust Entertainment film.

Deborah Dutch has been in over 40 films, has been a cover girl for many magazines and is known worldwide through published trading cards, many media articles, and magazine pictorials. She is very excited about her own movie project in development, “The Hollywood Warrioress”. She has created the concept and will star in the movie as well. There will also be a comic book modeled by her “Hollywood Warrioress”. It is soon to debut. A model kit is also on the market called “The Warrior Goddess” with unlimited merchandising as a spin off.

Her motto is “never give up on your dreams…”*

1. How did you get into the industry?

I’ve been entertaining the world since the age of 4. I was a ballerina & danced before large audiences, I had solos in several big Ballets and was headed to N.Y.C. to become a professional when I was 15, however a twist of fate changed my artistic direction. I was a cheerleader and a gymnast and broke a bone in my knee while cheerleading (which I loved), and I was unable to do the 4 hours of toe work required. So I began musical theatre at my High School & won the lead in my Jr. & Senior play! My Grandmother was good friends with Agnes Moorehead and asked her to come see me as “Millie” in “Picnic” to ask her opinion if I had talent enough to make it in Show Business! The answer was Yes! So, when I went to College I majored in Theatre Arts as well as French & blossomed. I auditioned in N.Y.C at The Circle-In-The-Square Theatre on Broadway against 100’s of aspiring actors across the country & was accepted in the Jr.Company & began my acting Career on Broadway! I studied and was directed by great Masters of our AWESOME Profession of Acting & Dance. I worked with the Best in N.Y.C.!!!

My famous Uncle Paul Roebling became my Mentor and I flourished to a level that brandished my dreams in my heart and soul. From there my Destiny led me to Hollywood. Once again, my Beloved Grandmother played a role. I was in Europe abroad and was sent to Hollywood to visit my illustrious Uncle, World Famous Astrologer to the Stars, Carroll Righter, who lived in a beautiful mansion (said to be owned previously by Joan Crawford) in the Hollywood Hills, and sang at one of his legendary Hollywood parties, with such stars attending as Robert Wagner, Phyllis Diller, Marlena Dietrich, (the list goes on, Hollywood Royalty back in the day) and I was discovered by Joyce Selznick, David Selznick’s daughter, and she said that I could be a Star and was cast in “Howard, The Amazing Mr.Hughes” starring Tommy Lee Jones. I became a SAG member & my pro career began with a BANG!!!!!

2. What Scream Queen inspired you most?

I was mostly inspired by Bella Lugosi & Boris Karloff! I LOVED watching Frankenstein and the ORIGINAL VAMPIRE flicks, the OLD horror movies when I was a little girl, I would get SOoooo scared & loved it! Halloween was ALWAYS my fave Holiday, and my Mom was the “Queen of Parties”! She would throw the COOLEST, SCARIEST, FUN Halloween parties for us (Me, my friends & twin brother & his cool friends). She would wear a LONG, Black wig and dress up like VAMPIRA & read our palms in her awesomely decorated master bedroom & tell our futures, while we would dunk for apples, dance to a rock n’ roll band, have costume contests and of course play the circle game where we close our eyes & pass around different slimy, gross scary things, like Bat eyes & Zombie guts, etc.)!!!!! I couldn’t wait for HALLOWEEN!!!!

As for women, there’s our ONE & ONLY “VAMPIRA” with the 17″ waist in Ed Wood”s “Plan 9”. When I saw her haunting beauty, I was destined… I have the honor to be in Kevin Michael’s documentary, “VAMPIRA”! and he’s planning to screen it this Halloween at an undisclosed location, it’s going to be SPOOKTACULAR and LEGENDARY to honor the AMAZING, Original, Scream Queen MAILA NURMI, “VAMPIRA”!!!!

3. What are the next couple projects you are working on?

My next projects are: My Dream project, “THE HOLLYWOOD WARRIORESS“, release date, Oct.31,2013! I was inspired about 10 yrs ago, when asked to be in a mag layout for Cinema Magazine in Europe, as 1 of the 5 top “B” Movie Queens in America. The photographer asked me “What persona do you see yourself as?” and I thought “I guess a Warrior since I’m always either being pursued by a monster who wants to do me in, or killing one and often with a sword.” He LOVED the concept and we shot beneath the HOLLYWOOD sign, and hence “The Hollywood Warrioress” was born. I knew I was onto something when the pics always sold out at the cons, and I was asked to be in the Hollywood Xmas parade as “The Hollywood Warrioress” and the crowd went wild! So I shopped the movie package at AFM, etc. and got some interest, however, I decided to produce the movie myself & own the rights! I star in my movie, playing the title role, which is 3 different characters in 1, a “triple character”! I’m a B movie star in Hollywood called Deborah, am the Alter ego “Athena” on Olympus that bestows Deborah with the supernatural powers of “THE HOLLYWOOD WARRIORESS” and we have a comic book and an action figure! I’m SO EXCITED we’re almost done filming and already editing it and it looks GREAT!!!! I’m determined that it is going to be a BIG, International, Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Horror HIT! It’s a youth oriented film, I’ve made the teens my focus!

The next recent release that I’m SO proud of is “BLOOD MERCURY“, written, produced and directed by the hot, new Len Kabasinski and the VERY TALENTED LUC BERNIER, one of my Co-Stars ! I play Nurse Amanda and they flew me into Erie, Pa this past July and put me up in style! It was an AMAZING experience! The talent is off the charts and the fx were AWESOME! Everyone was great! I created an evil lab technician and transformed my character into a “Betty Davis” type character, relying on “My Betty Davis Eyes” to telepathically bring her sinister, sexy beauty to the screen… Keep on the lookout for this flick, I know it’s going to be a smash hit in the Horror world !!!! And lastly, “VAMPIRESS, LADY OF THE NIGHT“, an INCREDIBLE Vampire flick directed, written and produced by Philip Cable, a well known B movie Director, he even has a book published on making low budget films. I have the star role of Danielle and also associate produce the flick. It has an interesting twist; a spin on our modern True Bloodish version of this ancient story of Vampirism!!!!

I HAVE to give credit to WILLIAM (Rusty) PIETRZAK, as the AMAZING DIRECTOR of “The Hollywood Warrioress“, BOB STATZER , the INCREDIBLE SCREENWRITER of my movie, “THE HOLLYWOOD WARRIORESS” and JAMES PANETTA for making magic with the film as EDITOR and SPECIAL EFFECTS! Also my beloved co-stars, EDWARD X YOUNG, ANGELICA ANDREWS DRUM and DEBBIE D! Thanks from the bottom of my heart for helping make my Dream come TRUE!!! My motto in life…
