Location: I’m based in Providence, RI.
1. How did you get into the industry?
I’ve been on and off in the entertainment business for almost 9 years now. I started off training as a pro wrestler, working the indy circuit & living in Mexico as a luchadora. From there, I became a merch girl & promoter for a local rock band. I helped with everything from loading gear to running their fan page. After that I began modeling. I’m a huge fan of horror and those types of shoots is how I got into acting. A director noticed my photos and asked me to audition for his film. Through that film I was introduced to other film maker etc etc word of mouth, and I decided I wanted to keep going.
2. What Scream Queen inspired you most?
Camille Keaton is very inspirational for me. I saw I Spit on Your Grave when I was 15 years old and her performance to this day still affects me. It must have taken a toll on her mentally to do some of those scenes but she pulled them off wonderfully. I think any woman putting herself through something like that shows she has a lot of guts. It’s inspiring.
3. What are the next couple projects you are working on?
The next film I am doing is the first segment in a small collection of horror shorts that all relate. It’s called BOX: Skin Deep. My character, Simone, is the lead. She’s a stuck up, selfish model who is used to getting everything her way and she is very obsessed with her body being perfect. https://www.facebook.com/Dontopenthebox
After that, I have 5 super hero action films I have been casted for called MISSION PARK. I’m the lead in 1, supporting in others. That’s still in pre production though, hopefully starting to film in 2014. My character’s name is Valerie Sarah. She can travel through the after life, therefore she is not afraid of death.
