2000 – John Hayes, who directed and wrote “Grave of the Vampire” and “Dream No Evil,” passed away at the age of 70.

1988 – Schlockmeister Jerry Warren, who produced/wrote/directed the films “Teenage Zombies,” “Manbeast” and “The Incredible Petrified World,” and who Americanized many Mexican horror films, passed away at the age of 63.

1981 – Eddie Byrne, who appeared in the films “Jack the Ripper” (1959), “The Mummy” (1959) and “Island of Terror,” passed away at the age of 70.

1958 – Kurt Neumann, who directed the films “The Fly,” “Kronos” and “Rocketship X-M,” passed away on at the age of 50.
